Super Car Control 'Coaching'
If you love the thrill of driving, have a passion for performance cars and want to take it one stage further, Super Car Control is for you.
The objective of Super Car Control is to enhance the clients' driving pleasure by gaining valuable new skills in the art of car control along with increased awareness of observation and technique. Clients are given tuition in their own cars on the road and the race track.
The driving courses are bespoke, built around each individual and can be booked in whichever format suites the client. Track time is taken on an hourly basis, and there is a minimum of two hours.
I coach as opposed to instruct and at the end of the course each client will leave with a valuable skill set and an improved feel for the car with a greater understanding of what the car is doing or about to do and why.
Coaching days normally run every Thursday, but I can be flexible, please enquire.

Initial Road Drive
Starting with an informal chat, the initial road drive is used to assess the client's skill level and general handling of the car along with what he or she wishes to achieve. It's a good opportunity to get to know each other and build a mutual trust in preparation for the race track. There will be no coaching but a demonstration drive can be included if requested. Time is flexible but would normally be no more than 1½ to 2 hours maximum.
Initial Road Drive
- Assess skill level
- Optional demonstration drive
The initial road drive is of course optional and can be taken at any time before going on-track, including the morning of the track coaching.

Car Control Courses take place at either Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire or Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire. Both offer a good opportunity to extend your skills and push the car. Bruntingthorpe has a little more room for mistakes, whilst Millbrook has a fabulous range of facilities including the magnificent Alpine Circuit which is very challenging and requires accurate contained driving, along with a high speed bowl and super high speed mile long straight. Other racing circuits including Silverstone are available, price on application.
Road Drive (Post Car Control Race Track)
The road drive(s) are particularly beneficial when used in conjunction with the track work. These follow a similar format and incorporate the techniques learned on the race track merging them with a more conservative road approach. It may be possible to combine a part day on the track followed by the road drive depending the client's location and availability.
