Gilles Thacker
British born Gilles Thacker has from an early age had an obsession with speed; as a young boy, whether on a set of roller skates or a Raleigh Chopper bicycle he simply had to go as fast as possible. Motorcycles and motor cars were the obvious progression and racing them was the best way to obtain that essential speed fix.
The one objective in life was to race cars professionally (and remain intact) and a great deal of fun was had trying to achieve this. Now somewhat older and wiser Gilles works as a race car instructor and driver coach.
Along with personal coaching via his 'Super Car Control' company he also works on a freelance basis for ex Formula 1 Grand Prix driver Jonathan Palmer at the world renowned Palmersport facility in Bedfordshire. This has provided him with top level training and experience in relaying his skills and understanding to clients from all walks of life and in a variety of motor cars and circuits.
Gilles is a qualified member of the prestigious High Performance Club as well as the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
